Water passes through a filter element (mesh or slotted screen), where suspended particles are retained.
When a preset differential pressure or timer condition is reached, a self-cleaning cycle is activated, removing contaminants by backwashing or mechanical cleaning.
Filters are designed as pressure vessels and include:
• housing (vertical or horizontal)
• filter element
• self-cleaning mechanism
• drain valve
• automatic control system
Depending on the design, different cleaning mechanisms are used:
• brush systems
• suction (vacuum) systems
• rotary nozzle systems
• scraper mechanisms
• pre-treatment before RO, UF, UV
• recirculating water systems
• cooling systems
• industrial process water
• irrigation and water supply
Main parameters:
• capacity — up to thousands m³/h
• filtration degree — 20–1000 μm
• operating pressure — up to 1.0 MPa
• continuous operation without flow interruption
• automatic cleaning mode
