Single-chamber mechanical clarifying filters are designed for removal of suspended solids and water clarification in water treatment systems.
Filtration is performed through dual-media layers (anthracite and quartz sand), providing high filtration efficiency and increased dirt-holding capacity.
These filters are typically used as a pre-treatment stage before membrane or ion exchange systems.

The filter vessel is made of carbon steel with internal anti-corrosion coating.
Piping can be manufactured from: • carbon steel with corrosion protection
• PP
• PVC
Shut-off valves are selected according to customer requirements.
The upper distribution system is made of polymer materials or stainless steel.
The lower underdrain system is made of stainless steel or polymer materials.
The final design is agreed with the customer prior to manufacturing.
The standard scope of supply includes:
• filter vessel
• piping and valves within the filter unit
• sampling device
• pressure gauges with three-way valves
• upper distribution system
• lower underdrain system
• gaskets and fastening elements
