Mixed Bed Ion Exchange Filters with Internal Regeneration

🔄 Principle of Operation

The filter operates with a mixed bed of cation and anion resins:

• cation resin removes cations (Ca²⁺, Mg²⁺, Na⁺)
• anion resin removes anions (Cl⁻, SO₄²⁻, HCO₃⁻)

This results in very low mineral content water.

Regeneration is performed inside the unit: • separation of resin layers
• chemical regeneration (acid/alkali)
• rinsing and remixing

🏗 Design

The filters include:

• pressure vessel
• mixed ion exchange resin bed
• water distribution system
• drainage and collection system
• internal regeneration system
• piping and valves

The design ensures uniform mixing and stable operation.

⚙️Advantages

• production of high-purity water
• compact design compared to separate units
• internal regeneration without resin removal
• reduced operating costs
• consistent water quality
