Wastewater enters the screening zone where solids are retained on a perforated or wedge-wire screen.
A screw conveyor captures the retained solids and transports them to the compaction zone, where they are compressed and partially dewatered.
Clarified water passes through the screen and continues downstream.
The screw screen is designed as a compact unit and includes:
• screening basket (perforated or wedge-wire)
• screw conveyor
• compaction (press) zone
• housing or channel installation
• drive unit (motor with gearbox)
Enclosed designs are available to minimize odors.
Main parameters:
• capacity — from tens to hundreds m³/h
• screen opening — 0.5–6 mm
• material — stainless steel
• automatic operation
• waste volume reduction up to 40–60%
Applications: • wastewater treatment plants
• industrial facilities
• food processing industry
• pumping stations
👉 Key advantage — combined screening, conveying, and dewatering in a single unit.
