Screw Conveyors

🔄 Principle of Operation

Material is transported by a rotating screw (auger) inside a trough or pipe.

The rotation of the screw moves material along the conveyor axis.

Depending on the design, the system allows:
• horizontal, inclined, or vertical conveying
• enclosed design to prevent leakage and odor emissions

🏗 Design

Screw conveyors include:

• screw (shafted or shaftless)
• housing (trough or pipe)
• drive unit (motor with gearbox)
• support and guiding elements
• inlet and discharge sections

Enclosed designs are available for handling aggressive or odor-generating materials.

📊 Technical Specifications and Applications

Main parameters:

• capacity — from several to hundreds m³/h
• length — project-dependent
• inclination angle — up to 90°
• material — carbon or stainless steel
• continuous operation

Applications:
• wastewater treatment plants
• sludge and screenings transport
• industrial facilities
• food and agricultural industries

👉 Key function — efficient material transfer between treatment stages.
